The precision vibration sensor and signal conditioner into a single, integrated package to provide years of dependable service. They are an ideal solution for sensing vibration on most plant equipment.
The transmitter uses a new technique to measure the severity of the impact on reciprocating machinery, impact has been used successfully to measure the mechanical looseness in large reciprocating compressors for several years.
This new impact transmitter combines the benefits of this measure with the comfort of 4-20 mA loop powered technology sensores.en transmitter has been incorporated a piezoelectric crystal sensing element, and uses a calendar function as part of it is the determination of gravity. An impact event counter and a memory device used to record the events of the meeting a preset amplitude threshold. The 4-20 mA signal represents the number of impact events above the threshold that occur within a predefined time window called the reset time.
Mechanical impacts are measured and qualified within the transmitter. The result is an output current proportional to the severity of impact.
Transmitters detect the following: loose rod nuts, cracked ribs, broken or loose bolts, fluid in the process, the bolts loose or worn wrist, excessive play in the shoe, and other loose or broken parts.
