Function and Applications
Standard valve is installed in supply line to an open tank, reservoir, clearwell or sand filter and closes to prevent overflow when supply head exceeds maximum water level, re-opens to replenish tank when water level drops below maximum. Reverse-acting valve installed in effluent line and opens at high water to prevent overflow and closes at low water to maintain minimum level in tank.
